My workshops are suitable for all ages, but I mainly get invited to schools, community groups for young adults or similar organisations.
I offer several different aspects of poetry workshops and I am happy to work around peoples needs to make my workshops fit for all occasions or theme them according to needs. Some of the workshops I offer are listed below. Please enquire for further options.
Pop Poetry
This workshop is very popular and is easy to implement for younger audiences and work perfect for Keystage 1-4.
In this workshop, modern pop lyrics will be recreated in old fashioned “story teller style”, to emphasize poetry in its modern context. Inspired by this the participants will create their own poem in a group effort with the focus on their everyday life.
This workshop is ideal for a classroom situation and lasts around 45 minutes.
Storytelling Workshop
In this workshop the participants will hear a story, write a story and tell a story. This workshop is aimed at all ages and can be hosted for several class groups at the same time. the different classes will be represented in different teams and compete for the best story.
The workshop lasts around 4 Hours.
